Wheels
Good morning chaps & chapettes!
Looking for your wealth of knowledge to help me out here. I removed the wheels from my M3 before selling up a while back in the hope I'd own another one day, but now having bought a house and had a child in the last 6 months this isn't looking likely so opted to put my CSL wheels up for sale. Now I checked the part numbers with BMW who confirmed to me these were genuine so I proceeded to advertise them, since doing so it has come to light they may or may not be on information given to me by people who were interested in them. First question - the part numbers, 2282650 on the front seem to be right and have been confirmed by BMW. 2282660 on the rears, also confirmed by BMW as genuine as these were superseded by 2282999 which I believe happened when the CS Competition pack was produced? I have called them again today and they are adamant that these are genuine but a potential buyer is not... Can someone please confirm? Second question - if the above is correct and these are deemed genuine by part numbers, can someone confirm if they all had 'BMW' stamped on them between the centre cap & M Sport badge or is this something else that was started when they changed to the 999 part number as mines don't appear to have the BMW stamped in this area? I asked BMW the same question who said that the fact these wheels were made by BBS not all of the CSL wheels made had this .... Are they fobbing me or is this true and they are genuine? Any help would be appreciated as I don't want to be falsely advertising never mind selling someone a set of wheels that aren't genuine and can re-value these properly. Dean |
