Default NOW SOLD : '03 BMW M3 CSL with BMW Warranty

Up for sale is my '03 M3 CSL in SG. This is a 'known car' within the CSL community which I bought off Rich S (of BM3W fame and Billy's Dad).

First of all, the important stuff:
  • 51k miles
  • 3 Previous Owners
  • MOT until 07/11/2013
  • TAX until 30/09/2013
  • Comprehensive BMW/Mondial Warranty with £100 excess

The car came from BMW with the following options:
  • Air Con
  • Zenon lights
  • PDC
  • BMW Business CD player

However, this car is not a 'stock car'. Rich S fitted the following items, all of which are still with the car:
  • AP Racing brakes. 6 pot fronts, 4 pot rears, red calipers, Pagid RS29 pads.
  • H&R coilovers.
  • Supersprint SS exhaust, including 100 cell cats & Lightweight SS Racing backbox.
  • Various additional carbon fibre trim pieces, including AC Schnitzer rear roof spoiler and SMG paddles.
  • Rear window tints.
  • Tracker (Monitor).

The car also comes with a number of other items:

  • A set of 18” OEM BMW wheels with Kuhmo winter tyres with approximately 5mm of tread remaining. The wheels themselves are in a pretty poor state but they can obviously be used as winter wheels or track wheels.
  • 'CSL' Private plate.
  • OEM BMW Car cover.
  • A spare sit of CF Flippers.
  • Turner Motorsport Bush limiting kit, which I never got around to fitting.
  • All of the original OEM brakes, exhaust and suspension.
  • Space saver spare wheel (which can be used in place of the foam/compressor system).
  • BMW Fire extinguisher (although I think that this is probably now out of date).
  • A copy of the 2009 CSL Register calendar – this car was the March pinup!
(And, please, before you ask, the car and extras/spares come as a 'complete package'. Please don't ask me to either a) split them up or b) try to negotiate the price of the car 'without extras').

Service history:

Running-in check..........Murketts.........................1253 miles
Oil Service....................Murketts............... ..........12602 miles
Oil Service....................Elms, Cambridge............16000 miles
Inspection I...................Murketts..........................24308 miles
Oil Service....................Wallis & Son Ltd..............28898 miles
Inspection II..................Murketts..........................38061 miles
Oil Service....................John Clark, Aberdeen.....45678 miles
Inspection I...................Elms, Cambridge............50493 miles

There is obviously a very comprehensive file of receipts to support all of the work done on the car.

The car is currently on Michelin Supersport tyres with approximately 6mm remaining on the fronts and the rears. These tyres have been on the road only.

The car is in very good condition, bearing in mind that it is 9 years old and 51k miles. It certainly hasn't been a 'garage queen' but by the same token, it hasn't been thrashed to within an inch of it's life. I have ALWAYS let the oil temperature get up to >75degs before giving it the beans and the car is always fed on Shell V-Power.

The car went to Elms Cambridge in November for an Inspection I, MOT and other bits and pieces. The bill to me came to £1546 and there was £718 of warranty work. Gareth gave it a clean bill of health for subframe cracks. In December, the car then went to Lepsons & KDS Detailing for all 4 wheels to be refurbed, and a 'Silver' level paint correction package and some other bits of paint work. (£1254). A new BMW OEM battery was also fitted in December. In January, the car went back to Elms for some warranty work, carried out by Gareth. The 'bottom end' (ie pistons, crankshaft etc) were replaced and a new VANOS was fitted. The warranty bill for this work was over £7300.

The car is currently available for inspection in Norwich. If you want to test drive it, I will need printed evidence of comprehensive insurance covering this specific car. And please, no tyre kickers or test pilots.

The car is currently only advertised on the CSL Register. If you've got any questions or want to arrange a viewing, please PM me.

If you want a second opinion about the car, please feel free to contact either Emma or Gareth at Elms. Billy and his Dad, Rich, can also tell you what it was like and even Shimmy can tell you a thing or two about it.

Price: £29,500.

(The white flecks in the above photos are where it started snowing lightly as I was taking the pictures. Arghh!)
