Default Dialing in the new setup

Latest track day - finally the weather cleared and I was able to take the CSL out and dial the shocks in. Had hell of a time trying to dial out an overly zealous rear end.

New setup - KW Race 2 ways - 14kg/mm spring + 1kg/mm keepers - no wheel alignment, no corner weight (old height reference only and camber guaged at home ), 9 years old Michelin Cups that have gone rock hard and belong to the bin + a big dude sitting in my passenger seat riding shotgun

Yep, that's the one the Aussie Supercars (V8s) used to visit until about 3 years ago. It's now run at Hamilton (which is about another hour drive down South) - now a street circuit race.

it is quite a short circuit and not very technical, but very difficult to improve on time as the track has very little run off and is VERY bumpy.

As a reference, in the E92 M3 also with passenger and completely stock standard I was doing consistent 1.12s (this is driven conservatively).

The CSL in the old setup was doing 1:10s with no passenger and driven moderately, it will do a 1.08 when pushed.

In the new setup with VERY old tyres, no wheel alignment, no corner weight and basically learning a completely new setup and dialing the shocks in it was hitting consistent 1.09s with passenger and full tank of fuel. So plenty more improvements to come for sure

Cool mate. Pity they don't go there any longer. Looked a real big balls track with bumps and close barriers. Sounds like somewhere familiar but a tad longer here in europe! The Supercar V8's looked like bucking bronco's round there! Awesome.
