Had a test drive yesterday, very nice car, overboost is good fun. Only 112 production slots left at the factory if you want to spec the car yourself. Surprised it was heavier than the csl.

Derek, where did you get the Test Drive? My Dad was interested in this as it seems to be the only M Car in production that can give the CSL a decent run for it's money and the fact that I have one really grinds his gear, lol

Hi Barry,
It was Grassicks in Perth, there is only 7 on the bmw stock list in the UK and 4 have been paid for. Grassicks have a white demo with full spec. It is a really nice car I enjoyed it far more than the new M3 after they made a sensible offer on my car. Got me thinking!!

Cheers
Derek

Have driven one and like it very much. Was almost tempted to get rid of the E90 M3 for one but I really need four doors at the mo.

Ah well, never mind.

Hi,

I was wondering what BMW had done
to make it handle well.

The new M3 (when it comes), should be on another level. You can count on it based on the 1M's result.

8:15mins

but better on shorter circuits.

Looks great!

Too hard for the Ring, slower than CSL both Ring and Hockenhiem.

Sounds like a bargain to me.....off you go boys and buy it, I bet they release a special version in next 12 months and you end up kicking yourselves!
