Well, i finally managed to visit Snetterton with the CSL having planned to it for what seemed like years and what a great day it was! Alex and i arrived together and met Curly there too.
I have to say the track is superb and whilst i have no knowledge of the old layout, the new one is great and quite a challenge in places! I didn't get on track until almost 11AM due to the usual wheel faff and then took it steady at first as i was still 'running in' the new head gasket... Gradually i increased my pace but was still getting certain corners 'wrong' until Curly kindly took me for a spin in the Disco Gayman before sitting in with me in the CSL and talking me through the circuit. That helped no end and also did wonders for my confidence in the 18" BBS wheels setup. Cheers Curl-meister! Curly then followed Alex and I for a video opportunity and we all enjoyed a couple of good sessions together before calling it a day and packing the car ready for the 7 hour drive home

It was a good day yesterday nice to do it in the dry, quite a few people on track and loads of them racey types there!!! Quite a few black and red flags bloody racers Rob and Alex were going really well and we had a couple of good battles. The gayman seems to be quicker out of the 2nd gear corners than the CSL but when the CSL got going down the 2 straights they just pulled away I dont know if it was the 2star juice I was using none of that poncy Vpower I even tried the gayman DRS diddy rear spoiler retracting it down the straight but no joy! I was impressed with Alex's new timer which even gave mid corner mpg it was still busy when I left at 3.30pm,

My data said very good high 28mpg mid corner John. Was it low 2.10's we were all doing John? Can't remember.
