Service intervals
Hello,
Stupid question time I'm afraid....... How are the service intervals worked out on BMW's and what am I looking at for such services? I'm looking at changing my current car to a CSL, and have never owned a BMW before. I want to make sure I leave no stone unturned with working out if the CSL is my best option Cheers all. Jason |

Bout 10,000 miles in between, run in this order, Inspection 1 - £300 ish - Oil Service - £150 ish - Inspection 2 £750 upwards depending on dealer - then back to Oil service, prices differ wildly between dealers, as does the knowledge and customer service on a CSL.

As I mentioned last night mate make sure it's had it's 1200 mile running in service, as Daz says the services cycle in the order as above.
When you turn the ignition on the car will tell you in miles how long is left to the next service and which one is due, it will read either 'Oil Service' or just 'Inspection', you'll need to check which Inspection it is, 2 is the major one where the car should be kept overnight and the valve clearance's checked when the car is stone cold IIRC.

Ahh maybe thats what Ive heard!!!!
I read that a full BMWSH helps with the value, but then I note that some use Thornley for servicing? I take it that wouldn’t affect a enthusiasts opinion but may do with a regular joe blogs? |
