Sorry missed your call earlier dude.
No worries.

Maybe this is a new thing. I will have all info tomorrow so I will post any news.

I have definitely been told by a BMW employee that the warranty does not start until after 1 month of me taking ownership of the car.

Madness.

This makes sense to me.
I made a claim on the warranty (just) within a month of ownership from a BMW dealer.

The bill came to £7k

There was a stand off between Sytner and the warranty company.
Eventually, the warranty company paid, although they said the same to me - ie within a month, it is back to the selling dealer to sort......

It presumably stops dealers spinning a car in need of work, pocketing profit and then leaving you high and dry to sort things out with the warranty company.

Apparently, its a legal agreement, so either way, you should be covered if something happens.

Mine Too! also the hunting on idle, is the aircon on? mine does hunt while the aircon is on but as soonas you switch it off it is fine.

I'm not sure why this would apply to a car you bought from a dealer but it is common for aftermarket warrantys. In fact, its more like 3 months.

The idea is you don't buy a shed of a car, get a warranty and then keep claiming until its fixed.
