Insurance value £25,000
Hi all
Back on the 08/06/10 I let you all know about my fight with my insurance company after my CSL was a total write off. They valued the car at £19,750 for a 30/09/04, 39,000 mile, Silver Grey CSL with air con, Park D control, Xenon lights, CSL wheels 100% original all books and keys as new just fully detailed and serviced. I was very pissed off and let them know this was just not good enough they came back with an offer of £20,225 can you believe it what a joke. So again I refused the offer and let them know I was seeking legal advice as I had the car insured for £25,000 and I had only had the car for 5 months when I had the accident and it was now over 3 months since my claim. And just last week they agreed to pay out my full value of £25,000 for the car I am so happy and I feel this is a fair value for my car. This was my second CSL and I have thought about getting another but think its time to move on poss looking at GT3. I love the CSL and it is 1 of the all time great cars Regards Vito |

Looking at 997 Mk 1 you can pick them up for £59k now. So with the CSL away and my fiance car sold 997 Carrera tip we are looking to get one car and I think if you mixed a CSL and 997 carrera tip together a 997 GT3 comfort would pop out. I would have club sport but think that is pushin it a bit with the misses I still have not told her it only has 2 seats not that we used them just for her shopping . Just said it was a tricked up C2 S I would like a white car with air con, sat nav and comfort pack a few nice cars on piston heads at the mo I am in no rush happy to wait for the right car keep you all posted . All the best Vito |

Chuffed for you mate! Really glad you held out and got a decent value!
I love my job (in insurance) but it really does pain me sometimes recommending these companies when they act like this! Best of luck with the GT3, if you get one make sure you put pics up on here please!
