the a/c rad when working has got to be chucking out heat right in front of the main water rad so gonna rob some cooling capacity - but would only matter on the limits of the water cooling of ever reached

Mine only has 1 fan, the viscous fan and this only works below 5mph,

So its 100% not your fan shimmy.

I know its not the fan when moving but as a seperate issue shouldn't a fan be runniing when the engine is turned off and it's hot?

Isn't a viscous fan powered by the engine?

Yeh it is Nathan, but once above 5mph the air blowing through the rad is greater than the air that the viscous fan can pull through it.

It depends on the temp the ecu is seeing and it then decides if it needs to run after switch off.

If you stayed out for 10 laps would it reach the red?

Did they deck the block when they replaced your head gasket?

Or it could just be a simple sender issue. Best to get it checked out though to avoid meltdown
