I bought my DUNLOP DZ02 used, with 4 mm tread left on them (I think NEW they are 6 mm ). I have since done 4 TDs on them (including afternoon @ Spa) and 65 dry weather Ring laps and still 1.5 - 2 mm tread remain, enough for another 3 day weekend @ the Ring

I'm still keen to try the 18" 265/35 Michelin CUPs but since it seems you've bought the last two UK sets

The TDs weight savings alone won't make you feel the difference. Its when adding up the 100+ kg I've shifted overall that has!

Dz03g: That's originally why I was curious for trying due to wear and good feedback, but at a thieving £1292 for a set of 265/18s when last looked, Cups got my vote at under £900, £390 aditional it wasn't worth thinking about the extra possible premature wear. I can still get Cups, but price has slightly risen.

Dunlops were why I was considering 18's in the first place, run them on another car and they are great, last ages and good levels of grip, not interested in chasing 10th's on trackdays, more interested in how long a decent set of tyres will last and dunlops seem to have the edge over cups in this respect. Unfortunately they don't make 19"s
