Trying to get the airbag out to fix my flappy paddles .. but just cant seem to find the springs with the screwdriver...

Seem to have the screwdrivers behind the airbag as it comes forward a little when I lever it a bit.. but obv that's not the way to get it out!

Have read these threads..

http://www.cslregister.com/forum/sho...airbag+removal

http://www.cslregister.com/forum/sho...airbag+removal

and also saw this on youtube, looks like the same arrangement?

Looks easy but I just don't have the knack!

From reading the threads and looking at the vids I should be:

- coming in from 2 o'clock position with a flathead screwdriver
- blade of the screwdriver horizontal
- pointing it slightly at the dash

Any more tips pls?!

Or any airbag popping experts in Southampton, Basingstoke, Portsmouth area-ish mind me popping by for your expertise, will buy you a beer!

Chs, Dan

Angle back with your screwdriver as if you angle forward it misses

Very helpful video; thank you!

Isn't there a risk of breaking the steering wheel lock this way?

Thanks,

Alex

This link doesn't work anymore? I have seen a similar vid on YouTube, but not for a csl. Having looked behind my steering wheel for the 2 holes to push the screwdriver in - I have 2 indentations but the "holes" are not there. Do I push through the rubber to make the holes myself?
