Deary me, that was a biggie, the BMW bonnet badge is vertical, dare I ask how did you go into a wall head on that hard?
Glad that you're well on the way to recovery, hope you get the insurance sorted. |

Hi I've had similar disagreements with insurance companies in the past You should collect independent information on prices of CSL’s in the same condition and mileage as your car I had to do this with a VR6 years ago, in the end I cut a load of ads out of the auto trader and sent them to the insurance company to show fair market value. You should probably make a note of all the CSL prices on Piston heads of a similar age and mileage and send the information in as a reference with a letter explaining the market value. I turned down 4 offers before I got the true market value of my VR6, it’s just how insurance companies operate I'm afraid. Last edited by toplad; 13-06-2010 at 03:50 PM. |

Ouch really sorry to see that, glad you're OK though.
Is that the roof that was on ebay a couple of weeks ago?

CSL
Hi All
As the CSL is not even in the Glasses Guide like the insurance company XS Direct said I will fight it. The value they put on the car was a joke. I will miss my car but it can be replayced. I was running my CSL on road tyres not the cups when I hit the wall at about 30 - 40 mph the police told me but I cant remember anything else. I was not trapped but they dont want to twist your body in anyway to get you out and with the CSL seat backs fixed I think they wanted to lift me straight up and out. I was awake at that point and said I would just get out but they would not let me. They cut the roof off they must love using the hydraulic cutters. I have to say thanks to the police, fire service and ambulance service they are GREAT. Vito |
