Default Repair to stonechip on the roof

Looking for some advice,

I picked up a couple of stone chips on my CF roof last year. I always intended getting them looked at but never quite got around to it. Anyway ofer the winter with the ice andsnow and cold temps it would the transparent top coat arond the chip has begun to disbond and i now hace an area of around 1cm which has been affected and is a milky colour.

Has anywone else had their roof repaired and if so were you able to get it back to normal or was the repair noticeable. should any decent bodyshop be able to help or are there any specialists anyone can recommend.

thanks in advance

I went through the same thing, my roof was a bit worse (bigger area) but the sun had discoloured the CF underneath and the bodyshop reckoned it would always show under the new lacquer. It was also only about £500 more for a NEW roof, so I went down that route

(I had some duct tape over it, hence the marks)

You can touch it up with some clear laqure but its best to get it at a body shop as the laqure you get with a touch up never goes hard

You can also re Laqure the roof as the carbon has been coated with it when new

It's not cheap, about £2k. Requires windscreen and rear window out, removal of the old roof and then bonding of the new one. Mine came back looking brand new thought and was very happy with the job
