To be fair to Rob... he was ahead of me by 3 laps come Sunday end of play. I then did the TD on Monday where I added another 20 laps... God only knows what Rob would have done if he participated in the Ring TD .
AWESOME weekend and my CSL stood up to the challenge in it's relatively standard form, without any faults
Without a shadow of a doubt, the Nurburgring is the spiritual home of the M3 CSL

Good to catch up with some of you guys over the week-end, you know who you are cos im fooked if I can remember now !! Think it was Rob, Matt and his nutts, Fasteddie but really Eric, Baz, Alex,Craig,Sonnybono, Niall...apologies if I have forgotten anyone...and you are all such young boys too !!...Im really feeling like the old man on here !
TD was ...well... memorable, I had the honour of giving Jorg from Comfy C his first experience of the GP circuit, then a lap of the NS, bought him back in one piece too so steaks are still on the menu !!
Enjoyed my very first experience on Cups , total difference from PuSsy2's, especially when the weather warmed up a bit ! Thats the good news, bad news is, that whilst driving down to the local shop this morning, with good oil temp and oil level of 0,5l ...the bottom end gave out ... I shut it down straight away so no legs out of bed, but engine is fooked ... my suspicion is failed oil pump, as it was so sudden, never leaked oil etc., so ...off to Murketts we go... sadly I dont think I shall make Snetterton on the 28th now Shimster

Ohh FOOK m8 !!! SORRY to hear this Duncan. One more thing to worry about for us 70K + miles owners hey Shimmy ??? Yours is only done 65K Duncs and this happened, after the recent head gasket work. The BMW Warranty with all it's booklets etc., is going to be worth its weight in GOLD and you've already had your moneys worth . Keep us posted with what Andy @ Murketts comes up with m8. Good News, I hope Some pix from happier times below

Great pics and reports fro Ring chaps. Very sorry I couldn't make it. I was sulking and miserable all weekend.

Good lappage Rob and Matt. Weather looked fab. Would have loved to have seen that E46 V10 in action.

Yeah... SORRY U couldn't make it Without wanting to rub it in the weather was absolutely glorious, four day in the row... crisp sunny starts and blue skys all day, every day with mid day temps @ 20 + deg. C.
About that White E46 M3 GTR creation, I nearly had a small wee when it passed me (like I was looking for a parking space) and shoot off into the distance ... more pix of it below Check out the PORSCHE Brembos on that thing + the Lorvely Wheels
The worst thing about it is... it's FOR SALE
