Good idea, i had wondered if it would have a slight voltage drop but if it works for you its gonna work for me!
Earth it anywhere BTW?

Rob, which model do you have ?

There is a place to earth it.

Inside this compartment (where your cars have the brake master cylinder) there is the negative pole.
You connect the negative there.
It's not visible now (it's inside and down) but I could take a pic if you can't find it.

I would imagine that both do it - i have run ITG since owning the car 2 years. The seal on the ITG tends to be a little better certainly, and they tend to come a bit stickier out of the packet.

I was led to believe by a certain tuner that the ITG filter is better than the BMC original - i certainly never noticed any difference and of course tuners are going to claim that as they want to sell more! I'm sure it is as good as OEM - it is slightly cheaper at least. They seem to stop the majority of stuff but i always get tiny particles of grit/sand behind the panel inside the airbox. Luckily this 'sand' seems to stick itself to the oily residue that resides inside the airbox housing so doesn't appear a big problem...

I will leave the BMC on for this year and see how i get on.

Good jobs Rob. I found a fair bit of cleaning required in mine also.

My CTEK is hard wired direct to the battery. You can pass the cable up between the carpet and battery cover, no problem. Just zip tie the wire so it passes through in the best area to avoid scuffing the cable and stop it moving about.

Probably see you in a couple of weeks Rob. I'm 95% sure I can make it combining the trip with a business meeting near Antwerp. It's part of my business expenses you see.

I'll be there from late Thu 15 Apr - Mon 19 Apr.
