Just out of interest how does the SMG behave with this mod, have heard a few peeps having probs in auto mode(not that I use it!) and not changing properly in manual mode.
Also does any ecu resetting or mapping need to be done on the car or is it just a simple ratio change? Any info Shimmy? Cheers |

Got me thinking now, I had a crunch and over-rev to 8436 rpm on a downshift and put it down to gearbox getting too hot, now wondering if it could be down to the software not understanding the safe speed to change down and me doing so too early?

so a bit of a confession - just had the 4.10 diff installed
previously the diff i had installed was a standard 3.62 diff which i had been told was a 4.10 but they gave me the wrong one bad news is that makes me a twat! good news is - I CAN GO FASTER AGAIN!!!! i double checked GPS speeds with 3.62 and today with the 4.10 and they work out perfectly to the tables provided on the other thread. on the drive home you def seem to get into 6th much quicker and cruising above 60 you do it in 6th more feedback later
