it looked sad so i gave yours and Nathans a cuddle Quote:
The goal is to run these on both -2 and -3 camber (road and track) without rubbing. The difficult bit will be to get the tyre and rim to sit between the arch and strut and not touch either on both settings when the adjustable camber plate is used. We fitted the rims first on road settings -2 camber with 12mm spacers. It seemed like the tyre was far too close to the arch so we tried 5mm spacers. This fitted perfect with both looking ok but spacers were not hubcentric so it was thought that i may get wheel vibration. So then we tried NO SPACERS but the tyre was to close to the strut spring. Not touching but close. Simpsons suggested reducing the size of the follower spring on the Intrax therefore lifting the spring base up and making more room. So after all that the et37 rims fit front without spacers. I dont think this would be acheivable without a/m suspension but with maybe 3-10mm spacers other compromises may be possible. I will try 3m spacers to give some more comfort room between strut spring and tyre i think. so running et34. My gut feel on OEM suspension and a/m suspension is that et32 is about right on 9.5J fronts. et30 should be ok BUT et25 might be too tight unless you have OEM suspension in which case you might have more roomunder the arch

whilst i was weighing the suspension i managed to check (nervously) the new rims and tyres
results VR G2 are 2kg per wheel lighter at the front and 2.4kg lighter at the rearm and this is with 9.5J at the front so a good resultm even better than i thought. This was measured with tyres on as well and 18 inch tyres are 0.5kg heavier than 19 inch overall unsprung weight saving 8.8kg cost.............................never mind

pmsl, I suspect the cost per kg for a divorce would be quite high though!
