Amazing stuff.

But I have to say I don't get it. No point driving cars like that as he'll drop 10k on it by driving it. There's only so much you can look at a car and say wow. And if it's an investment then personally I'd prefer to buy a property and hold it for 10-20 years.

Im all for driving cars as they were intended etc etc but it's good that there are guys like this out there to preserve at least 1 in original state I think.
If I saw a well used E30 Sport Evo with 100k on it, fulls of mods, I'd probably see it as a banger these days, but to see ones like this out there allows me to see what they were like in their day, if that makes sense but glad there are a few cars out there in this condition! Allows me to drive mine without feeling guilty

I know of this guy and he won't be thinking resale mate! You should see his RS collection, why do you think he's called Bonkers!

Although like Mole i appreciate a car being kept for posterity, i feel this should be left to the manufacturer or dedicated motor museums to do.

Personally i don't see the point in having a great car collection just for show... If i was in the position to afford my favourite cars i would only buy them with the intention of using and enjoying them all - doing the things that they were designed to do.

These specialist collectors may as well keep a pristine low miles Mini Metro for all the use that it would be sitting in a garage... Pointless!

Have to say I do agree with this 110%, I couldn't have my dream cars and not drive the bloody things!

If I were rich I would buy it, strip it out, cage it, stick in a CSL lump and post it up on detailing world for a giggle.
