Supersprint Lightweight Racing
Right then!
I got it fitted today. Im fully stock except for this backbox. Fitment was done in about 35mins, had some problems with the alignment as you can see from the pictures... One sticks out slightly further than the other and sits a little more towards the inner part of the car. I might have to drill another mounting hole for the exhaust hangers to get it to fight right, anyone experienced this? On to the sound! Its much louder when going through town, people hear you coming from quite far off even when youre not in sport mode 4000+ revs. On the highway, while cruising, the exhaust sound takes over any other engine noise that was heard when stock, such as slight intake noise and road noise etc... It drones quite heavily at 1700-2400 RPM on a high gear going uphill. When you're on the throttle though, its awesome You feel a vibration coming through the seat as you floor it, and when it mixes with the intake sound its very nice =D Downshifts are sooo much better too... Very satisfying Overall, quite happy with it, have yet to give it a proper full throttle run down the roads, and also the noise will change and improve as I add miles on.... On to the (iPhone) pics... Video soon hopefully |

I did get quite worried last night though because I had 2 mates in the car after having just fitted the exhaust and the car felt Considerably slower in the straights!!! it didnt pull like before...
Will an extra 150kgs really make that much of a difference? |

I notice the difference with just 1 passenger for sure...think about it, it probably weighed as much as an M3 with your mates in it

I always notice the difference from a full car to just me in it. And that's the same for any motor. I went to Germany with a couple of mates and associated bags, snow board, etc. in my 335i and it felt considerably more sluggish than I'm used to.
