My Newly acquired SG CLS has 13 ! pages of WARRANTY work since day one. The most recent being a NEW Clutch + Duel Mass Flywheel and complete VANOS overhaul including both VANOS units, all gaskets, hoses etc.. U name it, it had it. Strange, as I thought these E46 engines didn't have VANOS issues of the E36 M3 EVO cars, but I'm not complaining as it's good to have so many NEW bits bolted to my NEW Steed and all under further two years warranty from the dealer

I think it really does depend on the garage. At my last service I was told my my power steering pump was leaking but not enough to be changed, my red battery light comes on intermittent, but as its not on when parked in the dealers car park they cant find a fault, when going through the gears quickly it hesitates/slips before the power kicks in, dealer, ur were not sure about that one etc etc
I'm sure if I take it to a known CSL garage they would just change the power steering pump, change the alternator and change the flywheel and clutch and I think the baffles are loose in the rear back box ? when I get chance I will be phoning Murketts to see if I can leave it with them.... |
