Help! Anyone know this ebay user?
Okay ...
Some of you may have seen this ad on ebay before. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=150374499227 I am looking at buying that slightly damaged CSL front bumper off him with shipping to Auckland, New Zealand. Now his ebay feedback seems pretty legit and he's sent me a paypal invoice already and provided me with a contact number to call him on. Anyone on here know him? Appears to be a CSL owner - but I can't be certain. I am starting to be a little bit hesitant as he's been taking a long time to get back to me and his original paypal email account seems to be rather new - I would have thought that if he's done over 200+ trades on ebay that he'd have quite a few trade numbers behind his email account - but he hasn't. Before he sent me the bill on paypal I tried to send him money and the email account he provided didn't exist. I don't know whether it's paranoia or what, but what do you guys think? Legit or am I about to be a victim of online scam? Oh and he's given me his name as John Devonshire, email address: jp.devonshire@btinternet.com |

I'd imagine you'd be fine, but if you are unsure get him to list it back on ebay and buy through there to get buyer protection.
At least its a bt internet account, I'm pretty sure this ties back to a home internet connection as oposed to some of the more vague internet mail providers. Also the Dev in his username seems to point at his name Devonshire. So at least thats consistent. I also suspect he works for a BMW bodyshop given his listings past/present. |
