I've gone off the idea of buying Cups now. Bought a set of genuine 18" M3 alloys, and ordered a set of Toyo R888's, keep the 19"'s with road tyres, and have the 18"s for the track. I can get a set of R888's for £604, paid £100 for the wheels (they do need a refurb!), a lot cheaper and it gives me the best of both worlds!! Everyone I spoke to recently said the Toyo's are better?? Got to be worth a try! I'll keep you posted, I'm going to Spa then straight to The Ring in May with them, fingers crossed! Haha.

thats a good choice for economics...but dont believe the 888 are better than cups in dry or damp conditions.

The only time they get better is with standing water where cups can be a little problematic

That's exactly why I like running Cups. In the Spring/Summer months there's no better compromise & no need to change tyres at a track. Grip levels are stunning. Just have to remember to warm them up. Can be a little on the road when they're cold.
