Donington Trackday pics
I attended the MLR trackday at Donington yesterday. It was an OPL affair and was very well run. As one of the few non-Japanese cars there, my CSL certainly got it's fair share of interest!
I also met Mark (csl mba) from the forum who came over to see the Tuner show that was also on at the circuit venue. I found the track really good and it remained dry, which enabled me to rape what little life was left in my rear PS2s! A few pics: Plus a few 'unsavoury' sights next door at the Tuner show... The jury is out on the last one...

I would love to get to Donnington sometime soon! You made lightwork of those PS2's mate, job well done!
You imagine how UNCOMFORTABLE the ride must be on that last BM? What are they, 20"s??? You think he could have given it a clean before hand too eh? |

Great pics.
Donnington is awesome, used to go in my Z3MC and the misses Clio trophy fairly often... what a blast. Love the pic of the Gallardo SL, I need one in my life!

Quality pics Rob, sorry i had to leave so soon was looking forward to a few passenger laps
Standing on the Pit Wall and seeing peoples reactions to the cars going down the straight the CSL certainly got a few WTF was that looks and smiles - the flyby was sweeeet The only thing that sounded as good/better was the Lambo (pic above) getting abused on the track. The Tuning Show was truely shocking , the pictures that Rob posted are some of the nicer attempts at modding . There was a "Super Car" section on the track which included 3 McLaren SLR's and the Gumpert & 2 Zondas but these were very dissapointing the drivers were "all show and no go" Mark

Hi Mark - there were a couple of 'offs'. One Evo IV totalled the left side of his car against a wall somewhere and the Nissan GTR in the picture went into the kitty litter at Old Hairpin right in front of me!

Good work there GD, it does hurt to see that on your road tyres doesn't it!
This was Silverstone in the Focus... However these were the dunlops are a hard day at Donny... (make you think, doesn't it. It makes a second set of rims with tyres an investment!) |

I was on a group run with that XBOW last weekend. How do the PS2s perform on track?

PS2s are one of the best 'road' tyres on track but will give up eventually when you put too much heat into them. The evidence of the rubber rolling over shows they have had a bit too much! You'll get away with it at the 'ring as it takes 3-4 laps to get it to that level, a similar distance (in miles) of Donnington will kill them...
