That sounds like a hectic time of it mate. Good luck to you...so, how long is the Blonde chick home alone while you're in BK with your mate...

Interested in how you get on with the new Diff, nice mod as who wants to use to top end of the car anyway?

Yes the diff has the 4:10 ratio's (whatever that means ) all i know it will help acceleration and i'm looking forward to seeing by how much.

I will give a report on here after the two trackdays.

She has been home alone for nearly 2 months (i had a 3 week holiday in BKK before i came to the States) so one more day won't hurt

Nice one mate - class itinery!

Looking forward to the report on the 4.10 diff as it is the only performance orientated mod that i will consider doing to mine now.

Looking forward to the Bangkok/Blonde reports too of course...!

Careful with the downshifts ... the only reason I never did this mod on my car was because you can now technically over-rev the car and go kaboom ... the SMG module on the over-rev protection works off the speed sensors - so unless you had that reprogrammed, mechanical overrev is a real possibility.

The lower ratio diffs is basically a torque mutiplier - so you hit redline a lot faster -albeit the car will still think you have a 3.62 final drive.

The auto mode also won't work very well either from what I have been told.

Should be fun accelerating though ... should shave about 0.1 of a second off the run to 100km/h

Would be good to see a standard CSL vs a diff'd-only CSL for comparison.

Its gonna feel fast either way after two months of not driving it!

Why abuse the blond chick when you could be driving...

Glendog Full reports will follow

I will take care on the downshifts, i'm pretty careful on them anyway. Interesting to hear about not very good in Auto mode, i'll let you know what i find.

Can't wait to get back on track, first time this year....

I like the car Andy but a man has his needs and mine haven't been fulfilled for a month now

I've read mix reviews about the auto mode - some say it's okay on the 4.1 but really bad on the 3.9 - whilst others say that it's fine in both. Do let us know - should be interesting.

The over-rev thing is real though - as it's all mechanical once you alter the FD ratio - I'd have to run the final drive calculator (from diffonline) to see what sort of extra RPMs it'll go to - might still be within tolerance and be okay. If I get some time today I'll see if I can get some numbers for you.
