Have you got an aftermarket exhaust and CATs?

I get a light pretty often (every 2-3 months). I'm running a full Miltek system with 100 cel cats.
I use this device: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WiFi-WLAN-...MAAOxyRhBS9l5F Paired with this app: https://www.obdsoftware.net/software/obdfusion It lets me read the codes and clear them. 9/10 times it's this code: - P0430 - Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold The only time it showed any other code was when my SMG pump was on the way out. It's not a serious diagnostic tool by any stretch, but it's useful to travel with on road trips and track days, and will clear repetitive exhaust codes on the move. |

Got it on my son's Polo (1.2) when a sticking exhaust valve had basically cooked the cat to the point where it had collapsed into pieces and was blown downstream in the exhaust :-) Well and truly cattle-trucked it.
I would guess nothing nearly so nasty in the CSL. It can be anything as mild as emissions being lightly out of kilter - anything from a coil pack, through head gasket issues to a faulty lambda itself. Codes will help, I am sure. Good luck.
