The EML can come on for a variety of reasons, so without checking the code for why it has come on, it is impossible to say if it will go off by itself, as it depends on the reason it came on in the first place.....

Hi Mike, it's not the EML light. In the hand book it just just refers to it as exhaust emission light ,

The yellow one on the left?

Again it depends why it has come on. It could have been triggered by high flow cats (which it can turn itself off for if given long enough) or it could be a fault registered with one of the lambda sensors or EGT, in which case it won't turn off until that sensor is replaced and the error code removed.

Hi Mike ,will try to get some resistance readings from the four lamb's.and temp sensor not sure what they may be,guessing from what I've seen on net 3-5 oms, as I don't have access to code reader will try this way, reasenty fitted new plugs and wondering if one of them could be faulty, yet it's running fine. Also was sitting about for about a month,

Tested all four lambda sensors all reg 02.8 on ohms meter, am guessing that's about correct,as they are all the same. Does any body know if that's correct ?,or is there another way to check

It would be better if you had the code read IMO.

Can anybody recommend a reasonably priced code reader, that can reset lights etc, that won't break the bank, and that's easy to use ,chad

The Peake code readers were always cheap and reliable and very easy to use but fairly limited in what they could do.

But you're probably better off with the INPA / GT1 / DIS software and ODBC II cable you can buy from places like eBay.

Bit of a ball ache to set up, but fairly easy to use, you'll need a laptop for it obvs.
