Default CSL Inspection Checklist Available?

Hey guys. Looking to make a purchase and aside from the "buyers guide" sticky, does anyone have an inspection checklist specifically for the CSL that could be referenced somewhere? I know some of the problem areas. I would love a comprehensive list if possible. Any insight would be great. Thanks guys!

Talk to Bartletts BMW as they have two levels of inspection they can do on the CSL depending on how detailed you want them to get. Also will have advice.

I agree, after 11 years of CSL ownership there are a few issues that need checking over and much better to get a specialist mechanic like Barletts (gareth) or Simpsons to go through all the possible issues.

You will need to get a compression test done prior to purchase anyway.

So do they have a special protocol that they do for CSLs vs standard M3s? Just curious what makes them special. I appreciate the responses guys! Thanks

Csl is a totally different car to the normal M3. I have both.
Not only the airbox but the way the car handles round corners, hence a great ring time.

In your quest you will want the floor replaced and as much info on engine work as possible.

In the engine the camshafts are different as well as the inlet exhaust camshafts. These are on a back order at the moment.

Cars are prone to headgasket problems and once fixed can still have big engine repair bills.

Get a compression test, and get the smg pump pressure tested, most have had new Diffs and diff seals. At this age new suspension and bushes is a bonus so it drives like a new car.

Where are you based, I'm sure someone can take you out?

Some are still under BMW warranty which is also great for quick easy parts.

Like others have said, Gareth has worked on most of the cars at elms and now at Bartletts, pay them to Inspect the car. If they give it a full bill of health then you've got a good car.
