What a great way to celebrate an M3 CSL !
I think that life is too short to not enjoy a CSL and try to keep the mileage down.

I am sure that Matt sooner or later will regret his decision.
Especially when all new cars won't accelerate more than the speed limit at any given place, they will be very quiet and boring etc.
Couldn't agree more. Mine is coming up to 60k miles, over 40 by me.

Absolutely love it, proper little hooligan of a car! Have it on SuperSports now, and all new bushings, brakes, clutch, etc. so it feels pretty sorted. Still can't get over how much speed these things can carry. Cheap road tax here too (€500pa, as opposed to CSL's €1800), so it'll be my car for the winter. It drinks more than the CSL too

You're on a GP2? Do you notice a big difference from the GP1?

EDIT: Oops, sorry Matt, just realised this is your for sale ad. New thread here for instead: http://www.cslregister.com/forum/sho...613#post188613

Totally agree Alex.

It took me a few years to shake off the "mileage syndrome" and now I couldn't care less. I'll never be able to buy another the way prices are escalating.

Matt's car is a superb example which is heading for 90K miles plus.

The mileage vs price ratio of the historical csl market is disappearing rapidly.

Its about time.

While I wasn't remember that Swiss mountain pass trip I did few years ago 3500 miles in three weeks hooning up & down Swiss mountain sides, around Italian lakes, etc. going through the 80,000 mile barrier while doing that (pix below)
BTW over 23,000 miles in 6 years in my weekend car isn't bad going, considering I have other cars at my disposal.

The advert does imply that you don't really want to sell up
