Has anyone seen the auction finish or does it never meet reserve? Surely if you want it you would just go and see it

I'm sorry to say it but that PH Ad (along with it's fleeBay sibling) are an embarrassment to the CSL community

I spoke with the seller. He seemed relatively genuine on why it fell through twice. I suspect it fell through as it is in worse condition than he let on.
He did say his BIN on ebay was pie in the sky but was worth a go. He said he would let it go for around £30000. He mentioned that the engine was fitted by BMW in Southampton so that can easily be verified. He also said it would need running in and so on, and had it 5 years, and had just moved on having been without it for 22 months. All seem possible. I think the PH ad is a scam not connected to him. Location is different and owner name is different. Maybe I am being too kind, but from my exchanges it doesn't seem that bad assuming facts are correct. That said I would not buy it! |

Obviously the ph advert was a scam.
The eBay ad is genuine and Jim, the seller, is genuine and a nice bloke. I viewed it and went down with my bro and had a very long journey and it seemed good mechanically. the reasons we didn't want it were just because we felt it was 90k miles, non original engine and a bit too tatty cosmetically. May suit someone that wants a track weapon as someone may like the idea of a new engine. Last edited by Cosworth50; 03-07-2015 at 09:54 PM. |
