RS29 Pad Rattle on OEM Calipers
Hey everyone,
I searched here but couldn't find a definitive answer. I have been using Pagid RS29 pads,ss lines, srf on my OEM calipers and discs for almost a month on my CSL. First there were no squeal or rattle but for the last week or so, I hear pad rattle while going over bumps and potholes. Mostly on vibration. I diagnosed it as pad rattle cuz it cuts when I brake. My mechanic tried to widen up the brackets behind the pads but that only worked for a day or so and now the rattle is back. I can live with the squealing but this rattle is a little too much. I read many people use these pads before moving on to full on BBK but no one seems to have the same problem. I was wondering if we did something wrong or if there is a solution ? Any input is appreciated. Thanks, Can |

Thought pad rattle on these was from the rears only as they don't have a clip into the piston?

I am a bit surprised that after so many posts and threads people still ask why the Pagid RS29 pads on OEM calipers make noise.

I mostly read about the squeling which I don't mind too much but I didn't come across any rattle complaint. Any solution ? Last edited by Clubber; 30-05-2014 at 11:56 AM. |

RS14 instead of RS29 on OEM brakes. People read this and still put RS29. With all due respect, you have been warned and you need to deal with the RS29 excessive noise now. |

Alex will go on about RS14 vs RS29.
But that wont fix the pad rattle as neither have clips into the piston on the rear callipers. So you need to some how attach the clip from the OE rear pads onto the Pagid rear pads and the rattle will stop. |

Here is a photo from a guy that was selling a set in M3cutters
The rear has clip. I would be really surprised if there no clip anymore. Here is the thread -> http://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/showthread.php?t=55210 |
