Default Halogen headlights

Hi guys,

I'm looking to convert from Xenon to Halogen lights on my CSL.

Firstly, can anyone tell me the original part number and whether the inner housing is silver or black in colour. Looked on the parts system and the part number changed in 04.

Also, I'll need a set of the standard trim pieces that go underneath to replace the washer unit ones, can't seem to find them on the parts system. Does anyone know the part number or where I can get some in the Silver grey colour?

Edited to add, will any changes to the electronics / wiring be needed?

cheers

Think the 330 cars had silver insides rest were black/grey

Look on real oem for a base 318ci to get the panels without the washers

Don't know re wiring sorry, at least I think you may need to change the plugs/connectors xenon have balast also they need to be removed also

Why would you want to remove xenon's? I'd love a set!

Unneccessary for a focused road/track car, with a weight penalty.
I'm still waiting for a LED retrofit.

I'd be focusing on other things before getting to this level.

Keep it OEM, if you want to retain its value.
If you want to down-spec, then keep all original parts for reinstatement when it comes time to sell.

You can swap the trim pretty easily. In fact, you can even use sedan halogens if you swap the inside trim and outer lens. The housing itself is the same for 02-05 sedans and 02-03.5 coupes
