Tyre advice

Righto, coming to sell my csl soon. The cup tyres on the csl wheels are borderline.

Options

a) Replace with new cups
b) Replace with new road tyres
c) Do nothing, let the buyer make the choice

thoughts ?

If (a), whats the current name and best place to buy cups (blackcircles show a Cup+ @ £350 for a rear!!)

if (b) I assume Michelin pilot super sport ?

Got a pair brand new of 235/35 /19 cups would let go for £400

Tyreleader.co.uk are pretty good price for Cups and Supersports at the moment.

C do nothing and let the buyer make the choice , you could also reflect this in the price of the car

whilst prices are good, there are not loads of buyers so if you want best pices refurb rims and quality boots are a must

I find myself having to agree with 'shimmy' if you want to achieve a good asking price!

I'd advocate Super Sports, given the time of year and they're cheaper.
Cups only come into their own in warm weather and on track, however it's all down to personal preference.

Nope, definitely being sold. In the last 2 years I've done....wait for it......less than 3k miles. I simply don't use it as its not different enough to take out for a weekend blast.

Selling the csl, keeping the gt2 rs (which I haven't seen in over a year, its in storage) and buying an atom instead. Which will get taken out for weekend blasts

now don't go bending that Atom as well will you fella ;-) a lot less protection in one of those things!!

your CSL will sell no worries with that mileage and condition

It s'alright Nick, to bend it you have to drive it and no doubt this will be another folly, will probably flat spot the tyres sitting in the garage ;-)
