Gearbox gremlins
Hello all
So after a year and a half of trouble free driving the gremlins are starting to rear there heads. The gear box is starting to play up abit when getting going from cold, I noticed a while back that when approaching a roundabout or junction The box would not select 1st, If I popped it to N then back into 1st it would go back in but once up to temp it seems to go away. Also it box would some times make a big clunk from 3-2nd bigger than normal Anyway it would almost feel like it was a little stuck. The other day I went to drive out my car park and and reversed then went to celect 1st and it would show 1 on the dash but just rev ! I moved the celect or about and it wouldn't go into anything it would just rev. I turned it off opened and shut the bonnet a few times and left it for a bit and it seemed to sort it out. I have also noticed that when cold dropping down the gears all are fine but from 3-2nd it will go 6,5,4,3 then jump to 5 instead of 2nd ! This seems to go once up to heat though. I understand this will be more than a job for the home mechanic and its in for a servics soon so will get the G-dog to have a look but was just wondering if anyone else has had similar and also will it cause further damage if I drive it ? Like I say it's all good once up to heat. Cheers

If it has started getting the wrong gear I wouldn't drive it hard, 5th to second instead of 5th to 4th would be expensive.
Maybe worth looking at the indent spring?
