If anyone has never been to the ring before, then you do not really need cups at the ring..... if you know which way the track goes then thats fine, if you don't then you don't really want to be trying to go round corners as fast as cups can carry you! DunCaN is excepted to this rule as he drives on canvas

Shimmy.the front tyre only have 3mm tread and the rear I bought from mattcslnut have around 2.5mm.in another thread which I cant find it Was discussed that a new set of cups may not make the whole trip so I Got no chance wid these.I've spent 600 on the road tyres so I can't buy new cups right now.Mrs had capped my spends lol.

What I'm asking is can we not find a way of sticking with shimmys original plan and pay for a person who is going to take sets to all or both destinations?I know it bears on the amount of people who still want tyres taken for them but do we still have time to arrange this please?as long as we get enough takers.

1. Yanto
2. Shimmy 3. CraigMC 4. alexGTT 5. Pinkpanther008 6. Adem.csl (maybe) 7. NorthernJim 8. DuncanR 9. ONeill This is about the number needed to make it work - (extra cost of fuel and tunnel for transit rather than car) More would be good. However Adem.csl, I don't think they will be going to the Ring as Dave has a TD on the Friday so he will be leaving I guess on the Saturday or even Sunday for Munich/Salzburg. I will ask him just incase but I doubt he will beheading for Ring in time for Saturday morning laps.

I may be missing the point.sorry.were you having Daves contact taking the rims originally or another person? I thought we would be at the ring for Friday evening in time to get time on the ring? So I was assuming the original plan you had was to get someone who was going to ring then Salzburg then ring again? So as in'they'you mean daves driver?because Dave has a td on England his driver won't leave till sat or Sunday in time for Salzburg?I understand that.

"I don't think he will be at the Ring as he is going UK to Salzburg" To make it cost effective it has to be Dave and his oppo who is taking a transit instead of his car (to help us) and they are going together after a Friday trAckday in the uk. I will ask him but I doubt he will be at the Ring at all let alone Saturday morning
