I came from a CSL, had the GTR for over a year and a half, just sold the GTR and will be returning back to a CSL here are my reasons:-

- Huge amount of cash to be sitting in the garage at the risk of high depreciation. 59 plate GTRs UK spec in Black and Grey are easily going for £35K now a days, I was lucky to have white and white GTRs seem to be holding their value better. However the 'trend' of white I think will be changing next year and I didnt want to see the high losses in depreciation so sold it whilst white still commanded a premium. Im confident in two years time £25-30K will be the norm for these cars.

- I think this because the GTRs are an expensive car to run. Tyres cost £2K and can only be bought from Nissan, you can try cheaper tyres and I did but they just dont perform as good, in the end I just kept my eye on for sale threads and bought second hand and stored them! Pads and Disks are also stupid price from dealers so I went AP and Pagid but still looking at circa £1k plus for the fronts.

- They need servicing every 6 months regardless of use, this is pretty expensive for a weekend car.

- Nissan garage are idiots if you buy a GTR dont go to Nissan go to Litchfields they are awesome!

- They drink like alcoholics in a liquor store. Circa £300-400 per track day!

- You cant go to any UK track day if you upgrade the exahust they always trip the db limit. Whats annoying though is that without the upgraded exhaust the car is just too quiet and you cant sense the speeds your going which can be dangerous for your license.

- The speeds are sensational and after a few suspension mods (ARBs & Coilovers) they handle like nothing else and you feel super safe and confident. Problem with this is that you need to be absolutely gunning it to feel like your driving, otherwise everything just feels clinical..

Ill stop rambling now, I loved owning the GTR but I miss having a car with a soul and thats why I sold out and now on the search for a CSL with APs for next year.
