IMHO He seems drawn into a world of bull5hit (manipulative management company?) that has little to do with the sport of motor racing, which from outside looks to be unsettling him over the last few years. Also his apparent relationship breakdown with his father hasn't seemed to help?

These child prodigies often seem to go a bit off when real life strikes, about the time they discover the draw of the furry magnet!? Look at Mr Woods - once he found it he couldnt help but stick it in everything with a pulse!! Affected his 'Golf' but who gives a 5hit i guess?!!!

I personally think it's a good move for him.

Its easy to comment from outside, but imagine the politics going on inside f1 and inter teams. I might be wrong, he might be a little cunt, but I do t think it's all his doing.

Hope the car improves as I am a Hamilton fan but I'm afraid this move looks all about the money! I would want the fastest car and win races/championships!

Hi,

If you look at the forthcoming Rule
Changes in F1 over the next couple
of years, and especially Engines,
then it may well prove to be a smart move.

The internal structure at Mclaren
and its overall focus is very
different now to when Hamilton first
arrived, when the Sponsors craved prizes and exposuer,
but now the Banks and Investors want their
Capital back with interest.

Not only that, did he really jump or was
he pushed, just a bit ?

Regards,

The Gorilla.

For me Hamilton is one of if not the fastest man in F1 but he's not a yes man 'brown noser' like Button so maybe he was pushed a touch

Hope your right & it does make some sense... Mercedes do make/build the engines..

I see from you User name you may be a relation of Lewis and have inside info

Looking at the rule changes for 2014, it is often said that Mercedes will have an advantage over McLaren. I hope it's true, as I would'nt like to see his talent go to waste...

McLaren have not given Lewis a winning car since 2008.
This year he has had a very good car but no match for the Alonso/Ferrari combination.

Be interesting to see now how Hamilton and Rosberg really compare
Also be interesting to see how Perez and Button compare

I think Michael Schumacher as much as I live him he should retire. He shouldn't go back to Ferrari as not the same.

Massa seat surely isn't safe anymore ....

Would live to see a fully fit and on top form Kubica in A Ferrari

I actually think its quite an interesting move.

Hamilton is one of the fastest drivers on the grid, his talent is amazing, personally as a driver I think he is fantastic, as a person he can be a bit of a spoilt twat.

If Merc can sort themselves out for the rule changes then I think he's going to be in a great race seat.

I love McLaren but they really have dropped the ball in recent years, Hamilton would have almost had this year sewn up if they didn't cock up as a team this year.

It's an exciting prospect him going to Merc, Brawn is still the best strategist imho
