Z3 Reinforcement Plates Question
Quick question on Z3 Reinforcement Plates...
Mine (along with a couple of other bits) have just arrived from BMW, happy days. Quick question on installation of these... Do they fit over the top of rear shock mount once the rear shock is installed? i.e. from the top. Or do they go over the top of the RSM and then get squashed up into the rear turret from underneath? Cheers, never used these before, so probs a stoopid question |

On the top mate, I got a couple of extra paper gaskets to look after the paint when tightened up....
Last thing to go on before the two bolts |

Yes mate, got the fronts too, plus the Z3 reinforcement plates, and I've got the Safety Devices rear brace on order (the one that goes from rear turrets to the bolts in the boot floor). So hopefully my new suspension wont break through any part of the car and kill me |

Same as the one Thorney sells:
http://www.thorneymotorsport.co.uk/p...oducts_id=4463 but he wasn't doing any deals on his, so I went direct to Safety Devices to get a price and they sent me here: http://www.msar-safety.com Got it for £198+ vat + delivery which is a bargain imho, 4 week lead time though. |

Was thinking I might go for the precautionary injection route anyway over the winter as it's going to happen one day or another I think, but I need to research it first. |

There is a company who are one of the sponsors on M3 cookies who do a twin cavity epoxy injection, £295, seems fairly reasonable for peace of mind. I had my subframe checked at Simpsons 2 months ago, they said it was absolutely fine, so I might go this route, tho I haven't done any research into it yet http://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/showthread.php?t=50368 |
