Maybe you are not reading other threads.
My CSL for example with full tank, SS backbox (race lightweight), AP racing and aircon/radiocd/xenon/rainsensor is 1420kg.

Fair enough, Gents - you win.

What i meant is that if they were to put standard M3 on Cups and test the lightest, stock M3 - there would be 0.5 seconds difference, no more IMHO.

That's a short track though - on longer, it'd be a different story not to mention that a heavier M3 would overheat tyres and brakes sooner.

Hahaha, we could register and start explaining everybody that the 1M is a 135i with LSD and worse single-piston brakes (aka Fuchsroehre spec TM).

By the way - i have been taking apart my M3 and weighing stuff... i can't believe how heavy interior alone is... sound insulation + carpets alone is 25kg +
Dashboard 9.9kg, fully electric seats 28.6 kg each etc...

I don't know if you have driven a CSL for more than 1 hour.
If you have, you would understand that it's day and night compared to the standard M3.
Even with standard tyres, the M3 CSL is much faster everywhere. On the straight, on the curves, on the track.
These are derived by facts and laptimes, not by assumptions.

To be honest with you, this story with the CUPs is old and dull.
It's usually the one M3 E46 owners come up with, to argue the case that a CSL is no better than their car.
Oh well, you can't convince everybody right ? But I would expect that you understand this as you are very involved in cars

i am not trying to convince people of anything but merely asking questions and trying to learn, that's all. I spent 1000s buying CSL parts so it'd be stupid of me, saying CSLs are rubbish - wouldn't it?
