Hi,
Rutkowski- Quote- ''B road handling ability and track performance mean two very different set ups. You cannot have it both ways, it is always a compromise.'' Its as MattCSLnut has already stated. The standard CSL suspension was so very good for a near on 1500 kg car. It can and does both very well. Part of the ingredients that makes the car what it is. The M1 and V8 M3 just do not cut it both ways out the box. CSL does, standard brakes aside. Regards, The Gorilla. |

One video i can't get my head round is this; (since we're talking CSLs) The lightest possible version of CSL - no aircon, no xenon, no options 1385kg on Cups tyres VS The heaviest possible standard M3 with smg, sunroof, harman kardon 1570kg on road tyres 2 seconds difference only sounds like nothing to me in this case... but i realise that braking and consumables will be much improved with the CSL. Also, i do realise that on 10 laps, the difference would be quite noticable... Last edited by Rutkowski; 29-05-2011 at 12:18 PM. |

2 seconds is a lifetime Kris, 2/10s would have been close.
Otherwise I agree with you

Hi,
RutKowski- Quote- ''I don't agree on CSL being great on B roads... crushy over potholes and too stiff IMHO. That's why we all have differing opinions. I very much like the std CSL set up for normal road use. I prefer a 'planted' car at the expense of few a rattles and tracks jumped on the CD. Anything softer gets very washy on 'B' Roads for me. Further more ( feel free to correct me if I'm wrong ) the Ring is effectively a German equivalent of a UK 'B' road, albeit one way and slightly smoother surface and the OEM CSL suspension works rather well around the Green Hell ... even one that's been well & truly used

I don't know why Rutkowski is trying to convince everybody here that the CSL is not good.
It's almost like going to Mekkah to read the bible to the public. I am like glendog, I adore the CSL |
