Unhappy

That looks absolutely ridiculous on many levels, the apology for a rear wing being one of them.

Look, seriously now.
Everytime there is a new M model, the comparison threads start against the best M model up to now (aka M3 CSL).
Everybody is excited with the new model and it's so much better, bla-bla-bla.
The press is used for ///Marketing in case you didn't notice.

When both cars are on the track the inevitable happens.
The new model is no faster on track than the CSL.
These are the facts my friend, everything else is just speculation.
Let's wait untill some guys track the 1M and then we can compare.

Last but not least, if I wanted to get an 1M or M3 GTS, I would get one or both.
But personally I love the CSL and this is what I want to drive.
Now, if BMW Motorsport for 8 years cannot produce a car that is faster than the CSL on track is another thing.
Wow, smug post. You keep patting yourself on the back and telling us how much money you've got...

Some magazines may give slightly biased reviews but imo the vast majority don't. Of all the writers out there I value the opinions of the evo guys most. Chris Harris has been quite outspoken on his opinion of biased reviews.
People who attempt to sound clever by banging on a tired old drum, claiming that it's all marketing are usually more naive than the person they are attempting to belittle.

In evo's hands, he 1M has lapped the west circuit faster than than the CSL.

'Those are the facts, my friend'

I'm genuinely interested by the new model. I don't find it as desirable as the CSL but some people will and do. I'm looking forward to hearing from people who've actually driven one, particularly the guys on here.

Chaps, lets keep this one friendly. No need for all this.

Streetwise, I'm trying one when I get back off hols in 2 weeks. Can't wait. Think I may really like.

Either way, my CSL isn't going anywhere. The V8 M3 on the other hand? Who knows?

Fair enough Alex. I probably shouldn't have bitten.

Make sure you post up your (unbiased) opinions.

I'll stop now.
