Question Trackdays

I am looking to purchase CSL for trackdays, what are the best brakes for the car and suspension to use.

Craig

Welcome to the CSLRegister.

I have no idea how to answer your question but someone with knowledge on here will but best probably to buy the car first irrespective of the brakes and suspension on it and decide once youve driven it.

That's a bit of a open ended question, suggest you get the car, drive it, and then decide .. so many options, and everyone has there own opinions and needs
Bit like walking into DFS and shouting what Sofa shall I buy

Welcome Anyway !

Brakes...... AP, best all round IMO, what 95% on here use too.
Alcon, again great set up but in my experience balance was out for track work.
K sport, budget brand that I personally would recommend, used on 500bhp EVO, for long period with no issues and endless stopping power, use better pads though as k sport pads are shit, use a carbotech if going this option.

Suspension...... take your pick, AST, KW, NITRON, MOTON, INTRAX, STANDARD, HSD, and theres more.

Loads on here run KW clubsport, loads run Intrax, a few run AST, ask each one they will no doubt advise their own choice.

I went with KW clubsport from recommendation, and experience of different cars. They were 100% reliable, 100% up to the job.

Take from this what you may.

and to follow on the sensible one's post ( lawsy you getting old )

Currently running
AP's all round - RS29 pads ( perfect set up road and track )
KW Clubsport ( Perfect for track and little harsh for road - but 100% happy )

With my Mr Sensible hat on

APs all round for over 60k miles, as good as you need.

Currently OEM suspension but previously ran IntraxIK2 (sitting in the garage)

try this for a bit of info

when you say harsh, do you set them fully soft for the road? or leave em set for track?

just for future ref

lol I know what you mean, I have the v3 on mine, and whenever I finish a track day I think I'll just soften em up a bit, then I lift the bonnet. look at the adjuster and get confused thinking which way is softer???

quickly shut bonnet, like I have looked at what I was going too. and drive home all rattley
