Are these actually going to be lighter than original? ie it's not carbon over original (can't see the point otherwise). If they are replacing the plastic what is the weight saving and finally are these being made by somebody who know what Carbon does in an accident and how they are likely to brake and hence which way the weave shoudl go. Carbon can slice you nicely if it isn't offering the strength in the right direction????????

Daz, don't Recaro already do these? CSL seats are basically Recaro PP's without the holes aren't they? Any idea on a rough price yours will be?
Here's the carbon PP's (4.5kg): linky DesignTek also do a PP-alike seat (6.5kg), though the back's not as pretty, but for about £300 each it's not bad:

horrible looking seats and i just hate that much exposed carbon but then again - @6kg they aren't intended to look good, are they?
