Thought I'd bump this thread as it's coming around soon.

I'll be arriving on Friday afternoon/evening, depending on how quickly my business meeting finishes that afternoon. Can't stay for the Monday TD unfortunately, so I'll be heading back on Monday morning.

Rude not to mate. Are you tunnel or ferry mate? What time and I'll do my tunnel to suit.

Definately Pistenklause Saturday night Craig.

Yeah, now that I am home I can finally post on this forum. It's been a nightmare having to read posts and not comment on them or throw in my opinion but now I can, woohoo!

I'm coming to this, getting the 21:00 ferry from Hull on the Friday, look forward to meeting y'all soon. It's about bloody time I'm getting to the the 'Ring.

Welcome home Baz.

After receiving my email about this event this morning, I have posted this on Northloop Forum. When I say collectively, I wasnt speaking for all of you guys dont worry, just ..well.... me and T$ really !!! .

Darren,
Nice bumping into you at Blaue Ecke last week-end.
email arrived this am ref the TD on 19th April for which a number of us in our CSL owners clique have booked. Collectively we are a little ... surprised at the revised timings, and total track time. The package was sold as 08.00 to 17.00hrs.
The email now informs us that the times are as follows :-
08:30 Drivers Briefing
09:00 Sighting Laps
09:45 Pit lane opens
12:30 Stop for Lunch
01:30 Restart after lunch
16:40 Pit lane closes
17:00 Track closed

From the above, the total "track time" proper is now 2 3/4 hrs morning session, plus 3 1/2 hrs afters, total 6 1/4 hrs, not the anticipated 9 hrs, which would give people more time to take a break, give the car a break etc. and still get a good few laps in.

Are the sighting laps for the full VLN course or just the GP Circuit? For those of us with a reasonable idea of the NS circuit, is there an option to just do sighting laps of the GP circuit only saving fuel at least !

Will the Breidscheid exit be in use during the day?

Regarding the €1,500 deposit, will recovery through breakdown and not accident, be carried out by the Ring? or if we have ADAC cover can we use that ? What is the situation regarding recovery from the GP circuit itself? Assume the circuit will do that themselves at no charge, please confirm.

Duncan Rogers

PS anyone still wanting a place on this event, there is a discounted one for sale on the NL forum http://z8.invisionfree.com/Northloop...topic=27192&hl=

Well phrased Duncan U can count me in as well ... THANX for that e-mail to the Ring TD organisers. I too thought it odd when I received the same update e-mail this morning, outlining the some what shorter times... I'm not impressed really considering this whole event was originally SOLD under the premise of 9 hours track time .
Keep us posted with their replay ... and what's this talk of 1500 Euro deposit ?!?!
