Hi,
The point I was alluding to was that say a 275 gives slightly more grip than say 255 by margin of 3% but increases drag by 5% then the net gain would very little other than a larger hole in your wallet. Looking at Shimmy's Tyre wall makes you think !!! Be interesting to see some data on the same car running say 255 and then 275 , and then running a 24mm O/A increase in track width, say with 12mm spacers each side with the 255's ?
