Anything Motorsport releated happening Feb time???
Hi Paul, there is a round 5 of the BMW race series on at Taupo race circut 6th and 7tth of February. There is the E30 class, very popular low bubget race series that has taken off here in NZ with up to 45+ cars per round , split into two races due to numbers. Also the BMW open class which I am involved with, my mate who also has a CSL, races a nice E36 M3 and I give him a hand with his car. All sorts of BMW's in this class, plenty of quick cars including BMW m3 GTR replica's .cheers

Hi, yes the Falkens are least cost option, having said that they do a good enough job on our roads and the opportunities in NZ are limited on the open road. 100k (62mph) bloody speed limited which can be frustrating hence the track days I do. Use the 18" wheels with Toyo R888 semi slicks and they are great. Perhaps not as good as the Dunlop semi slicks we get here but good enough,

Hi, thanks, Having the H&R spacers, on front and rear helps with the overall look of the car. Has the effect as I am sure you will know, of the wheels filling out the guards better. Its also slightly lower due to adjusting the Bilstein all round to suit. The PSS10 I find works great. Have it on setting 2 or 3 for around town and country crusing. Then at the track change to 9 or 10 for hard setup. ( PSS9 is opposite 1-2 is hard setting and 10 is soft) anyway all good fun!!

Hi, thanks I actually spend more bloody time cleaning and polishing than driving it, well it seems that way. I have changed my preffered polish and now use a polish made in ENGLAND, Fare'cla Wax Top High Gloss liquid wax polish, Takes some work however it comes up great especially when I use the electric buffer. The car has won a number of Show & Shines. All good stuff!!

Hi, for race and track days as a suggestion ..........try typing in BMW race series hampton downs ( NZ lastest and what will be greatest race ciruct and facilities) or Taupo or Pukekohe. This will lead you to some guys that have taken videos of their races etc. My car is on you tube...............1M3CSL at Taupo Race Track. is was taken by my mate following me around in his E36 race car. Tyres I was using then were pretty much had it and I was a bit slower than usual and was keeping off the ripple strips. I am now using TWS 18" Donington ( black) wheels instead of 18" M3 wheels only because mate needed my front 18" m3 wheels for his race car. Runs the E36 with AP race brakes so needed 18" wheels. cheers

Hi, yes some of the roads are but we do have a lot of secondary roads which are not all that smooth, but lots of twisty stuff which is good fun. However having a good number of race tracks makes up for no autobarns or fast open motorways.

Hi, there is Rugby in NZ and well......... thats it beside motor racing. Most sports are popular here but rugby rules for sure, Having said that the NZ football team has made the next world cup, haven't done that since 1982. Not bad for us ,we only have 4million people in the whole country. By the way..............more Ferrari's per head of population than anywhere else in the world, hell work that out!!. Won't be long till world cup, will I have the car for you to hoon around in in 2011, hell yeah nothing else worth buying ( new M5 in 2011?) what about a new M3 GTS, nice track car, need to get them to make me one in right hand drive!!
