Kidney Grills

Now I have a black CSL I think the only change I'd like to make (apart from possibly taking the wheels back to silver) is a black kidney grill.

My question would be that I think gloss would look best but believe they only come in matt, is there anywhere that sells them?

Also, is there any SB owners out there that have done this who have a close up shot? (I'm still unsure whether I'd go for gloss, matt or carbon)

I have matte ones on my Carbon Black (not SB) M3 (not CSL )but I left them this way instead of painting them body colour as that will most likely end up chipping.

Plus the matte on mine perfectly matches the matte window trim.

If you are unsure, you're best bet is to buy matte ones try them, and if you still want painted ones then have them painted.

Cheers Andy. I'm still in two minds what to do, go for the stealth look just to continue the theme or return to standard.

I will definately be taking the tints off. They are too chav for me. I'd like a very light tint as I don't like clear glass, but at the moment it's very dark.

The more I look at standard silver alloys the more I think I should return them to standard though. The picture in the link, of Hazy's CSL (with the black grills) is where I would like to be eventually.

Leave the wheels black, they look really good imo, I would say that, every car ive owned in the last 5 years has had dark rims

I usually like dark rims, but always personally thought black on black was a bit 'gangsta, innit'.

But after seeing it in the flesh, it's proving difficult to not like it.

Driving it on any road with more than one lane sees people crap themselves and jump out the way.

Your's just look really good...I've seen black before and it hasn't done it for me but the pics of yours just look SOOOOO right.

Hi Paul... just my 2 pence worth but have U considered Carbon Fiber kidney grills ? Usually I prefer an OE look to my cars but I have to say the C.F. grills on my NEW Toy are slowly growing on me. Visually, they seem to make a lot of sense on my SG CSL (pic below) but may be a bit too STEALTH on your SB CSL. What do U think ?
