Had a few calls back and forth with some customer-support guy in munich. Eventually he told me that he couldn't find anything in their archives and that was that. Well and that he recieved some similiar calls from z8 owners but couldn't help them either. A shame really.

I was hoping something more relevant from BMW, since the car is not that old.

Well, i think it needs someone with a good connection to someone higher up in the hierarchy at bmw.
