Enables you to sell to people who'd need finance. Generally most private sellers can't provide that and as prices increase more people will look to this as an option to achieve ownership.

As these cars become more expensive a different type of person buys them and they fund the purchase of the car differently. They don't want to be dealing with private sellers and expect the dealer extras and convenience.

From the sellers point of view it can make sense as well. That person may have three of four expensive cars at home that they don't want to advertise the location of these to unknown prospective purchasers (plus carbon bikes and other goodies sitting in the garage). Time is another factor as typically people with the money to collect expensive cars don't have much free time and they do not want to spend their weekend waiting for someone to maybe turn up to view their car.

If CSL's keep increasing in value they will move into a different world and way of being traded.

I think the car on this thread is priced about right for the start of the car buying season

They might be a little disappointed with my bike then as it has an old Peugeot 531 frame (80s classic?) . Updated with new wheels and paddle shift though. Might work as a getaway 'car' .

Saying that I just looked on Gumtree and there are ones for sale there for 200 knicker !!
