IMO even more crucial for you to have the full fat Cups - there's no point going to a track-day to have it spoiled by having a 2-3 lap grip window before the tyres going off, necessitating you cutting short a session to cool them off. Even more so, seeing as the track events will be infrequent, so you want to get the most enjoyment possible out of them. Given the full-fat Cups are cheaper as well, it really is a no-brainer .

Righty Ho! As shim says go for a new oem set if finances allow 1. rims will be mint 2. no hidden repairs waiting to let you down going into the bus stop! 3. OEM rims will hold 80% of their cost all day. |

Generally my thought is that if looked after rims are an asset, tyres depreciate in line with wear. Ergo tie up some capital and buy a spare set to minimise regular faffing!

er i did it.. Thanks Billy
because i am tired of tip toeing in the wet on trackdays. with our unpredictable weather and if i book ahead, I can then switch to MPSS when i need to or stay on the Cups if it's dry. no more curtailing my fun on track..... |

One set of OE CSL 19s with the original Mich. CUP 1s is all you'll ever need Brian
It's a Royal PITA swapping wheels over IMHO. I've been there & done it Mine has been exclusively on CUP 1s since 2012
