I find the Meguiars stuff to be very good, and safe. I've been using it for years and usually buy 3 bottles of the stuff when Halfords doing the 3 for 2 offers.

Hi guys,

Bilberry is actually quite acidic considering it says its safe, it will start to dull the finish.

best bet is to use a fallout remover which will strip all brake dust, its not acidic and safe on all parts of the car.

Then seal the wheels, from then onwards you can use shampoo as normal. a great sealant is gtechniq c5.

Wonder wheels deffinatley cleans. Trouble is, it's easily misused, and will clean the paint off too. I suppose it's ok if your wheels are in desperate need of taking off baked on brake dust. But I try not to get to that stage. I always used to use, now don't laugh. Fairy liquid, then some wax. But being a bit of a perfectionist, it just won't do when we have all these products on the market. Since the first post iv used Autoglym custom wheel cleaner, and been happy with the results. Tried it on my mum's 330d first though

Iron x will remove all baked on brake dust with no scrubbing. Fallout removers have changed the game for wheel cleaners
